中大校史資源指引 CUHK History LibGuide

中大校史資源指引網頁於5月10日推出，供各界人士瀏覽。指引介紹有關中大歷史的重要資料，包括出版物（例如：校長報告書）、電子資源（例如：圖片庫「中大像素」）、及校外機構收藏的相關歷史檔案（例如：英國國家檔案館）等，並以主題分類，例如「大學成立」、「校園發展」、「人物」等，有助中大史的研究。如需進一步瞭解其他校史資源，可向大學檔案查詢。

The CUHK History LibGuide was launched on 10 May.  It introduces resources on researching the history of the University, including publications (e.g. Vice-Chancellor’s Reports), electronic resources (e.g. ‘CUHK in Pixel’ the online album), and related historical records kept by other organizations (e.g. The National Archives, UK).  Resources are categorized by themes such as ‘Establishment of CUHK’, ‘Campus Development’, and ‘People’, etc. For more details of CUHK-related resources, please contact the University Archives.

國際檔案日 2018 International Archives Day 2018

國際檔案理事會於1948年在聯合國教育、科學及文化組織支持下成立，致力於檔案的有效管理和世界檔案遺產的保護和利用。理事會現擁有來自199個國家和地區的約1900名會員，是全球檔案專業人員的代表。

2007年，理事會通過於每年6月9日（理事會成立日）舉辦國際檔案日，向大衆介紹檔案，提高大衆對檔案重要性的認識。

今年國際檔案日的主題是「管治、記憶與傳承」。香港國際檔案日慶祝活動於2018年6月9日(星期六) 舉行。届時中大大學檔案和其他參展機構將介紹各自的獨特收藏；大學檔案主管曾柳歡女士亦會在當天講座環節中分享大學檔案的工作經驗及挑戰。歡迎有興趣人士出席。

Found in 1948 under the auspices of UNESCO, the International Council on Archives (ICA) is dedicated to the effective management of records and the preservation, care and use of the world's archival heritage through its representation of records and archive professionals across the globe. Today the ICA has approximately 1900 members in 199 countries and territories.

In 2007, the ICA decided to launch the International Archives Day on 9 June (the date ICA was created) every year. On that day the participated archives will introduce their works to the public and raise awareness among the public of the importance of records and archives.

This year the global theme of the day is ‘Archives: Governance, Memory and Heritage’. Archives in Hong Kong will celebrate the day on 9 June 2018. CUHK University Archives and other exhibitors from a range of institutions will be participating, and Ms. Sintra Tsang, CUHK University Archivist, will introduce our works in the seminar session.
